Warmth in the team – without a chat
A greeting is a short message with an animation: “Proud of you 🎉”, “Thanks ❤️”, “Love you”. To everyone, a group or one person. The next time the app is opened it appears once, large, over the screen – look, send a heart back, done. No reply, no history, no chat.
How it works
One message, six animations, one heart back
Heart button in the Today view
At the top of the Today view and the simple view sits a heart. One tap opens the send sheet – also in the More menu as “Send a greeting”.
To everyone, a group or one person
“Everyone” for the family, “kids” as a group or Mia specifically. Recipients are fixed when sending – everyone sees the greeting exactly once.
Six animations
Hearts, confetti, stars, thumbs up, high five, sun – with a mini preview when choosing. Anyone with reduced motion gets a gentle fade-in.
60 characters and quick templates
Short and warm: up to 60 characters, emojis allowed. Six templates are ready – “Thanks ❤️”, “You’re great ⭐”, “Love you”, “Keep going 💪”, “Good night 🌙”, “Proud of you 🎉”.
Kids may send
Kids and guests send greetings too – the heart button is part of the simple view. Parents can optionally tie sending to points (see below).
Sticky note on the kitchen display
A greeting to everyone appears on the display for 24 hours as a sticky note – in place of the photo, slightly tilted, in handwriting. On the e-ink display too. Greetings to groups or individuals stay private.
Receiving
Look once, send a heart back – then it is gone
The push only says “A greeting from Anna” – the text never appears on the lock screen. The next time the app opens, the greeting appears large over the app, with animation, avatar and name. A tap on “❤️ Thanks” sends a heart back, a tap beside it closes it. Several greetings come one after another.
- No history, no collection: greetings are deleted after 7 days
- Senders see under “Your recent greetings” how many have seen it and sent a heart
- Quiet hours apply as for all notifications
Greetings as a reward
Kids send from … points per week
If you like, make sending a small incentive for kids and guests: under Manage → Household → “Greetings” you set how many points earned this week kids need before they may send greetings. Until then the heart button shows a small lock and “12 more points and you can send greetings” with a progress bar. Receiving always works, adults are never affected. 0 = always allowed.

- At most 30 greetings per person per day
Deliberately not a chat
Warm, short, one-time
Greetings are one-way messages: no reply function, no history, no group conversation in which kids could read something wrong. The text never appears in the push notification. After seven days everything is deleted. What stays is the feeling – and maybe a sticky note in the kitchen.
